We currently have a number of leadership vacancies at the Port of Tauranga, including the need to recruit additional Shift Managers in order to cope with our continued and expected growth.
The Shift Manager oversees the loading and unloading of ships arriving at the port. This is a demanding but rewarding leadership role and pivotal to our organisation. It will involve leading a dedicated team of skilled individuals in the handling of everything from logs, timber, pulp, steel, cars, kiwifruit, bulk products and more. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of your team and for managing cargo flow through the effective use of our unique cargo management systems.
The Shift Manager is a natural leader and will have previous people management experience, especially managing teams of people. Prior experience in the stevedoring industry is definitely not essential as we will provide full training and support to the right candidate. What we are looking for are proven leaders from all industry backgrounds who feel they have what it takes to take on a challenge and who are looking for the opportunity to join a great team and to start an exciting career as a leader in the cargo logistics industry.
